Mindi Baldwin
Mindi Baldwin, designer at Cabinet Connections, invites you to come into the showroom to dream a little. Mindi used her background in interior design to enter the kitchen business and joined Cabinet Connections in 2002. Clients can rely on Mindi's guidance through design concepts, selecting and ordering materials and project installation. She will refine layouts with your lifestyle in mind and then help you choose your cabinetry, countertops, backsplash and all the other details that will make your personal dream kitchen come to life. Clients will also gain from Mindi's years of experience as a space planner and project manager. With an eye for detail and sense of design she will listen to your needs and ideas and help you achieve your dream.
Mindi holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Kansas State University. She lives in Newton, Kansas and enjoys being a grandma to her first grandchild and spends her free time making jewelry or sinking into a good book.
Jim Gruver, Owner
Jim Gruver has lived in Hutchinson area since 1962, attended Buhler High School and Kansas State University, married a Hutch High graduate and raised a great son and daughter.
Jim has been involved in the construction industry for over 40 years, including projects ranging from complete design and build custom homes to subcontracting for Walmart. Many other commercial and residential projects including churches, medical offices, senior living centers, manufacturing plants and multi-family housing have added to the work load. Jim started Cabinet Connections more than 20 years ago as a way to enhance their kitchen and bath renovation projects. This has blossomed into a huge part of what Cabinet Connections does. Having Cabinet Connections a part of the "Downtown" has been a big plus for company success.
Being very involved in the community Jim has served or is serving with many organizations: Two-time President of the Hutchinson Builders Association, Hutchinson Community College Building Trades Trustee, Kansas Building Industry Workers Compensation Trustee, Downtown Hutchinson Revitalization Partnership Director, Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run President as well as running Cabinet Connections, James Gruver Construction, Inc. and Mill Creek Development of Hutchinson.
